Yamaha MT 125 BS6 2024 Highlights

The Yamaha MT-125 BS6 is a naked street bike available in 1 variant. MT125 generates 14.7 HP @ 10000 rpm of power and 11.5 Nm @ 8000 rpm of torque from its 124cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valves, fuel injection, liquid-cooled engine. MT 125 has a 6-speed manual gearbox (Yamaha MT 125 top speed is 120 km/h) with both rear and front disk brakes and also has a single-channel ABS (anti-locking braking system). Available in 3 colours. Yamaha MT 125 Price in India: Expected ₹1,42,801 (On-Road) in Delhi.

The MT-125 was recently launched in European markets. This motorcycle is smaller than Yamaha MT-15 which is available in India. This MT-125 street-fighter range gets new colours as part of the update. There is the Storm Fluo colour that incorporates matte white with red accents on the wheels and tank. On the other hand, Tech Black paint sports a blacked-out look.

The 2024 Yamaha MT125 comes with an 11-litre fuel tank that is slightly bigger than the previous MT-15. Its suspension duties are taken care of by upside-down telescopic forks and mono-shock suspension but when it is launched in India upside-down suspension or unit swing is removed for the price cutting.

This is the first-ever high-performance VVA system that provides torque for ease of use even at low RPM. There are two intake valve cams one for low- to mid-range rpm and another for high rpm. They switch between each other at the 7,400 rpm mark to ensure good power and torque are present throughout the entire rev range.

Take on the darkest streets with confidence and enjoy enhanced night vision with a Bi-Functional LED headlight. Hi, and low beam has been integrated into one single compact unit which makes it technically advanced and a first in its category. MT-125’s uniqueness comprises the stylish, compact headlight to realize the MT design.

Nevertheless, Yamaha is unlikely to launch the MT125 in India and will continue to have the MT15 as its most affordable performance naked motorcycle.
