CBR1000RR-R generates 214 HP @ 14,500 rpm of power and 113 Nm @ 12,500 rpm of torque from its 999.9cc, inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. CBR1000RR-R has a 6-speed manual gearbox (Honda CBR1000RR-R top speed is 285-299 km/h) with rear disk brakes and front double disk brakes also have a Dual-Channel ABS (anti-locking braking system). CBR1000RR-R is expected to launch in India 2021 in the expected price range of ₹ 17,00,000 – 18,00,000 (expected). Currently available bikes which are similar to CBR1000RR-R Fireblade are Ducati Panigale V2, Triumph Rocket 3 & Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
Introduced in 1992, Honda’s iconic Fireblade took the world by storm, evolving into an incredible 1000cc machine while creating a legacy both on the track and off it. The motorcycle was also a blueprint for many competitive racing machines and has even left a mark on The Isle of Man TT.
The legend of Fireblade has evolved to grow bigger with time, and in 2020 we are here with two new variants created along with Honda Racing Corporation. The CBR1000RR Fireblade and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP are worthy of furthering the legacy of the original Fireblade.
The design of both the variants in terms of the engine, handling and aerodynamics is focused on sheer track performance. The fact that the engine and chassis technology of the RC213V-S ‘street-legal MotoGP machine’ and the aerodynamics of RC213V MotoGP bike has been used in creating these machines leaves no doubt of what they could achieve on the tarmac.
